Vesna Ilić from Novi Sadf has been fostering since 2010. Vesna and her family have experience in providing urgent, specialized and standard foster care. During their 12-year fostering experience, they took care of nine children and continuously responded to the demands and challenges of the fostering role in the best possible way. Sensitivity to children's needs, nurturing an honest and open relationship, an appropriate and individualized educational approach, exceptional skills and a great personal contribution to the education of children is what characterizes the care provided by this family. Vesna continuously improves her parenting skills by attending numerous trainings. So far, she has made a significant contribution to the improvement of existing practices by actively participating in numerous professional meetings and activities organized in the community as support for foster care. In addition to the quality of care provided and selfless giving to each child, what makes Vesna an example of good practice is her activism to improve the social position of children without parental care and foster families who care for them. She was a guest in many television and radio shows. She is one of the initiators and founders of the Association of Novi Sad foster carers with clubs, which has been actively functioning since 2019.
