Blaženka Velemirov from Lug acquired her eligibility for specialized foster care in 2015. At the beginning of 2016, she took in a child with Down's syndrome, whom she is currently taking care of. In addition to the child in foster care, Blaženka also has two biological children who fully support her in her foster care role. The fact that she is extremely dedicated in taking care of the child speaks in favor of her interest in continuously improving her parenting skills. The progress in the development of the boy in her care is the result of perseverance, dedication, responsiveness and emotional warmth that this foster carer selflessly provides. What further characterizes the foster mother is openness towards the community, energy and focus on solving problems through a cheerful and optimistic attitude.
