The conference "Fostering to support early childhood development" on the occasion of the International Day of the Family and the Day of the Center for Foster Care and Adoption of Novi Sad, was held on 15.05.2018. in the grand hall of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. Following the welcome address by Ivana Koprivica, Director of the CFCA of Novi Sad, the meeting opened and welcomed the participants, Mr. Palimir Tot, Undersecretary of the Provincial Secretariat for Social Policy, Demography and Gender Equality.The conference was organized by the Center for Family Accommodation and Adoption in Novi Sad, the Provincial Secretariat for Social Policy, Demography and Gender Equality, the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Novi Sad, the Regional Project "Social Rights for Sensitive Groups" (SoRi), the German Development Cooperation and the Support Center early development and family relations "Harmony", within which experiences from the local community, as well as experiences from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, were presented.
In the first part of the conference, the activity "Morning tea with a live library" was realized, in which the foster parents shared their previous experiences with the children who are in the family accommodation.The gathering brought together experts from the field of preschool education, health care and social protection of children, with the aim of recognizing the importance of early intervention and the importance of family accommodation for children from birth to the third year of life as alternative care.
The Center for Foster Care and Adoption Novi Sad thanks everyone who contributed to improving the care of children in foster care by working together.
