The conference will be held on the occasion of the International Family Day and the day of the Center for Family Care and Adoption in Novi Sad. It will bring together experts from the field of preschool education, health and social protection of children: educators, nurse educators, professional associates and associates of preschool institutions, pediatricians and pediatric nurses, case managers, foster care counselors, foster parents, professionals from the Institute for Social Protection, researchers from scientific research institutions and the like.
The main goals of the work at the conference concern the recognition of the importance of early intervention and the importance of family care for children from birth to three years of age, as an alternative care. In addition, an important aspect of the work at the conference will be the networking of all important interested parties and the improvement of cooperation between preschool, health and social care institutions in the field of supporting the early development of children in family accommodation.
Experiences from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro will also be presented at the conference. The international conference will be reported to the Chamber of Social Protection.
The key topics that will be discussed at the conference are:
1. Family accommodation as an aspect of early intervention for children from the social protection system;
2. Urgent foster care - guidelines, experiences and capacities for supporting the child and the foster family;
3. Roles and tasks of each individual actor in providing early intervention to children in family accommodation.
It is planned that the content of the conference, apart from the presentation, will include:
- Group parallel discussions on Urgent Family Care and mutual cooperation;
- Activities aimed at better knowledge of the key actors in the care of a child in emergency care ("Living library" with foster parents).

Travel expenses will be reimbursed for all participants coming from the territory outside of Novi Sad. They need to bring an ID card with them. For reimbursement of travel expenses, it is necessary to indicate the need for reimbursement in the admission form. The deadline for registering to participate in the conference is April 30, 2018. In the event that the capacity of 150 participants is filled before the deadline, the application deadline will be shortened.
