WORKSHOP "SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES - UNDERSTANDING THE RIGHTS OF CHILDREN AND MODERN TRENDS IN EDUCATION"
On Tuesday 04 October 2016 at the Center for Social Work of Novi Sad was held another workshop within the "Consultative - therapeutic services for children in foster care Center for Foster Care and Adoption", which is supported by the budget of the City of Novi Sad. The theme of the workshop was "Support for children with disabilities, children's rights and understanding of modern trends in education" and was intended for representatives of foster families.The workshop was attended by 10 participants. The participants were presented through an interactive process basic characteristics and importance of specialized foster care, a modern social model of disability, inclusion of children with disabilities into the educational process and additional measures of support. Participants were introduced to the concept and types of assistive technology and ways to ensure assistive technology to a child. Foster parents were very active during the training and they have amounted to personal experiences about caring for children with disabilities, as well as problems encountered in systems and ways that overcome them.
