ROUND TABLE “SUPPORT OF FOSTER CARE IN LOCAL COMMUNITY”
On Thuesday 10. May 2016. round table “Support of foster care in local community-from the perspective of civil sectors” was organised by Centre for Foster Care and Adoption Novi Sad. This round table is part of program “Counseling and therapeutic services for children in foster care – Centre for Foster Care and Adoption Novi Sad”, that is implemented with the support of the City Administration for Child and Social Welfare of the City of Novi Sad. The round table was attended by representatives from the Center for Social Work of Novi Sad, Center for Foster Care and Adoption Novi Sad, Play Center Novi Sad, Serbia Familylab and Center for Education and Consulting PEPSILAND. They presented the work and activities of their institutions and the services offered to users. They offer therapeutic and advisory work with children and parents / foster parents. The roundtable was organized with the aim of improving foster care services and improving the quality of life of children in foster care, as well as to strengthen inter-sectoral cooperation and competences of professionals in both systems - civil sectors and social protection.
