Workshop “Dealing with loses and preparation for the change”
On Thursday 15th of June a workshop “Dealing with loses and preparation for the change (prevention and preparation for coping with separation crises as a precondition for the upcoming undisturbed child growth, e.g. a precondition for further foster care ability) took place in Center for Social Work Novi Sad. This workshop was organized as a part of a project Advisory – therapeutic services for foster children by Center for Foster Care and Adoption Novi Sad and it was supported by the City of Novi Sad.
The theme of the workshop was one of the most important aspects of the whole foster care process – dealing with loses. Further child’s psychological growth, its emotional intelligence and the ability to form emotional connections are highly dependent on successful dealing with this particular matter. Ten foster parents and the representatives of the Center have shared their experiences, advices and ideas in this filed.
It is planned that until the end of this year a certain number of workshops focusing on further practical and theoretical education and support for foster families take place.
