Kinship Fostering Round Table
On Thursday, October 22nd 2015, a roundtable "Balancing the professional approaches and procedures in the implementation of kinship foster care", was organized by the Provincial Institute for Social Welfare. The round table was organized in the premises of the Centre for Social Work Novi Sad. On behalf of the Center for Foster Care and Adoption Novi Sad, advisers for foster care and supervisor attended the meeting.
Representatives from the Center for Foster Care and Adoption Novi Sad and social welfare centers from the territory of AP Vojvodina had opportunity to share their experiences in the implementation of kinship foster care. The professionals expressed their views on the relatively low presence of this form of protection as well as concrete proposals for the maximum utilization of resources within the wider family in the care of children without parental care.
